Prayers and Supplications Which May Be Used in the Struggle Against the Powers of Darkness

Appendix 2 of Exorcism and Related Supplications offers a number of prayers for all the faithful to use as protection from the powers of darkness. The Catholic Truth Society has published the booklet on the behalf of the Bishops' Conference (details below). The Department for Christian Life and Worship reviewed the material given in Appendix 2 and arranged it:

• Prayers for Protection:Immediate
• Prayers for Protection: General
• Prayers of Thanksgiving
• Prayers of Faith and Confidence

Further prayers were included from the liturgy and devotions and for each section Prayer with Scripture was added offering short phrases, a psalm and a gospel passage.

The Bishops' Conference has issued a press release and a podcast episode on the booklet.
